The Rock vs John Cena... Who Would Win?

This here is a question posed by many and remained unanswered until now. Last night/this morning I was out for a mates birthday for which the theme being wrestlers and cheerleaders. My mate came as The Rock and I as the Dr of Thuganomics. Other people came as other variations of other things and were not that good!!! Anyway my costume consisted of 3/4 length shorts, fake abs, sweat bands for the arms, an army baseball cap and a WWE spinner belt.

As the night went on, we went into Whetherspoons for "pre drinking". I had already done this with a new found love known as port! Anyway I did a shot of Wray and Nephews which I do not recommend to anyone, a shot of strawberry absinthe and a jug of some blue stuff. Good times but expensive! Anyway at about 10 we head into Reflex, which is an 80's club to those who do not know, and this is where the fun begins.

Now to start with, lots and lots of people would come up to me doing all the usual Cena tricks such as the 5 knuckle shuffle and the salute he would do. People, girls especially, would come up and play with my fake abs and giggle and then dance with me. Got up and close a few times but decided against any action because I am an idiot haha! The DJ even gave me a hell of alot of shout outs (we discover later he is a WWE fan) and kept making me do challenges. The only one i remember is the mince pie challenge where it was I against this lass and the aim was to eat 6 quicker than your opponent. I lost but then discovered later today she cheated!?! Damn southerners!!!! Anyway as I was saying I got a lot of female attraction but there was one girl who particularly caught my eye. Unfortunately for me she is a very very good mate to my housemates and with my track record with women I do not want to upset them by being my usual twattish self. Was able to get cosy with her a few times and i thought there may well be something there but I am guessing there aint as she went off to kiss some other guy hahaha!

Anyway I most definitly got more attention than my mate (The Rock), hence.... THE WINNER AND NEW PEOPLE'S CHAMP.... JOOOHN CEEEEEEEENA.

Due to me being a nice guy though I let my mate perform a peoples elbow on me on the platform for everyone to see.

On a side note, it is not long until my arrival back to the holy grail that is York and I hope to have many fun filled nights out this Christmas.

Christmas Time!!

Well we have decorations in my house down here (shame the same can't be said about house in York) and I do feel rather festive. It is amazing what a few Christmas lights and a tree can do for one's morale. Needless to say it has put me in a jolly fine mood. Nothing beats a good old fashioned Crimbo. Looking forward to spending time with mates and maybe spreading some love around on these nights out that we have planned (hehe). With regards to love, I was initially miffed at it being the time of year it is. You see so many people in relationships getting all cuddled up and close together and at times I yearn for the attention that they recieve. Guess you can't have it all and the game must indeed be played. No longer bothers me now i hasten to add. Mates and family are where it's at. One thing I will say though is that the Southampton xmas market sucks in comparison to the York version AND there are no lights up. What is that all about. Need to decide what presents to get. I have a fair idea in what to purchase, however with my student budget one must ask whether one can afford my ideas! Anyway 1 week til I return to the superior part of the country (6 days really) and I cant bloody wait. My next blog shall be coming at you from the humble abode of York.

You are a what??!!??

This is a question that is a real bug bear for me. Whenever anybody asks me what it is I do at Uni, my answer is the standard "oh I do Civil Engineering." The look of confusion on most peoples faces was hilarious to begin with but now it is beginning to agitate me. To many people the engineer is somebody who comes round to fix your boiler or redo your wiring in your house! Now while these people are highly skilled individuals, I am sorry but I find it an insult to be compared with them. An engineer would have come up with the design of the boiler making it work properly as a prototype, making it efficient as possible and would be the reason the skilled workers have jobs! Now I realise I may come across as a bit of a snob here, and I make no apologies for that, but people need to realise the differences here. People always ask me the same question..."Why do you go to Uni to be a builder!!" WTF no I am not a builder. I design big structures like the shopping centres, roller coasters, football stadia that you all love to use/visit. I make sure they are structurally sound using maths that is so mind boggling I dont even know how i manage it. Please people give us Engineers the respect we deserve. Without us, we would all still be in the stone ages!!!
